This is a new, clean site design I did for my girlfriend Kelly (now my wife). I hadn’t had a chance to do an artist’s site in quite awhile, so this was a fun project for a rainy afternoon.

In fond memory of our good friend and colleague, I’m posting¬†the faked pulp mystery book cover I created several years ago. I initially did this as a quick way to tease the venerable professor about his recently unveiled, and¬†somewhat melodramatic, official department portrait (included after the jump).
I had this vision of him as a sort of Cinema Noir public health detective (a la Sydney Greenstreet). Dr Berg was so tickled by the whole thing I ended up giving him a framed copy and several duplicates for family and friends.

As part of my work for the non-profit organization IKI Malawi (ikiMalawi.org), I had the opportunity to visit this vibrant and friendly East African nation.

These are some of the photos I took around the island of Carriacou during the second phase of the Grenada Heart Survey. Carriacou – whose name means “Land of Reefs” in Carib – is the largest of Grenada’s two sister islands.
